As part of the president's plan for regulatory reform of the nation's financial services industry, which was unveiled earlier this week in an 85-page white paper, Obama is calling for the elimination of industrial bank charters and wants them all shut down within five years. 2 injured in WI chemical plant explosion

Spooner, WI -- A large explosion and fire at a chemical plant in Spooner, Wisconsin has injured at least 2 people. Witnesses say, several area fire departments are on the scene at the Cortec Corporation plant. The Spooner Health System tells KARE 11 the hospital is treating two people from the plant. Their conditions were not immediately made available. The Wisconsin State Patrol said it did not know the cause of the 8:43 a.m. explosion at the plant owned by St. Paul, Minnesota-based Cortec Corporation.
